Maybe it was my tomatoes, but this was heavy on the sugar in our opinion. I used paste tomatoes from the freezer, measured by weight, about 3 1/2 pounds.
I added some salt, pepper, and some tomato paste which was a good remedy for the sweetness. It was quick and easy. I’ll try again with less sugar.
