You are so right!
We homeschool and travel a lot. I also breastfed my boys until they were 2-3 years old. What I keep telling new moms though is that what I've done and do - even though I'm very happy with my choices - will not necessarily be right for them. There is no "right way" to raise kids. Each family needs to find its path. The kids are all different, the parents are different and so each family makes different choices, none of them necessarily wrong.

In reply to <a href="https://thispilgrimlife.com/question-stop-asking/#comment-2353">Kathryn</a>.

Yes I definitely know the feeling of second guessing yourself. I do not really regret reading the parenting books, either, because different approaches work for different kids. I think we can just put too much pressure on ourselves trying to figure out the perfect solution, when really we just need to do what we feel comfortable with and not stress over whether or not it's what others would do or if we are going to mess up our kids. Simply acting out of a desire to do the best we can and being motivated by love is enough. :-)

Thanks for this reminder! Sometimes I wish I had never read all the parenting books, but without a community of experienced moms around me to help, books and blog posts are all I have had for the most part. I don't have the problem of comparing myself to other moms, but am always second guessing myself if I am making the right decisions, just because I want the best for my kids!
