Two Week Meal Plan #2

My meal plan for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the next two weeks!

My meal plan for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the next two weeks!

I had the luxury of grocery shopping with only one child (the baby) instead of all my children this weekend. It was nice to get out of the house somewhat alone and nice to browse the aisles a little more leisurely. Even if my baby didn’t agree and expressed her desire to be back home with a constant general fussiness.

Since I was down four children, I ended up venturing to five stores to do my grocery shopping. I planned on three, and went to the other two more spur of the moment. Before I left the house, I had filled out my menu planning page and my grocery budget/shopping list, so I knew exactly what I needed and was able to keep track of how much I spent at each store.

Even so, I ended spending a little more than planned since I splurged on a few things for recipe testing on the blog. I also dropped about $30 at the spice shop, but I was really needing several staples and had been putting off visiting the store until I could go alone.

I have several special meals to plan for the first half of the month. My middle son’s birthday was on the second, so I needed to plan a birthday dinner for him, and also plan for food at his birthday party coming up this weekend. We also have friends coming to dinner and meals to bring to church, so I accounted for all of that in my meal plan.

Overall, there are lots of family favorites, plenty of comfort food, and multiple plans for soup included in the plan. I‘m already longing for Spring weather, picnics, and sunshine, despite my efforts at contentment. Maybe some delicious meals, a hot fire, and shared audiobooks will help to revive my enjoyment of this season!

Keep reading for a list of the meals on my meal plan. I simply listed our meal options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with links to each. I also included a short list of foods that I will prep at the beginning of the week at the top. I do not plan for 14 dinners because I know we will likely eat out at least once and have leftovers too. Breakfasts and lunches will also be repeated.
