Our Favorite Sliders: A Round-Up for Burger Night at Home

I LOVE a good cheeseburger and so does my family. Five Guys is one of my boys’ most requested restaurants, and if it’s in the budget, my husband and I are more than happy to oblige them. However, with three growing kids, going out to eat isn’t getting any cheaper.

Which is why I’m thankful that we have our out routine for having a burger night at home. I’ve been making these delicious burgers for over a year and they are one of our favorite meals because they are quick and OH.SO.GOOD.

The patties are thin and served slider-style, often doubled up for my husband and I, and always with cheddar cheese on top. The rolls are big and soft and a perfect match. Plus, even though they are yeast rolls, they only take about thirty minutes to make. Easy peasy.

If we have it on hand, bacon makes our sliders even better. My guys love adding spicy pickles. The parentals throw on some red onion. And then it’s ketchup, mustard, and mayo made fresh in two minutes thanks to the Vitamix.

As far as sides go, it’s usually roasted carrot fries for the win. They are so tasty, easy to make, and still give the feeling of eating french fries when you dip them in your favorite ranch dressing. Occasionally, I’ll make a quick batch of coleslaw when we have guests or need a little more food.

With the right timing, the meal can be ready to eat in a little more than thirty minutes. Start the buns first (if they get a little extra time, all the better), then get the burgers and your sides going.

  1. This recipe has been a staple for us in our family for four years! The ability to make them in an oven when we aren’t able to have a grill out has made this an easy win any night of the week!

    Thank you Lisa!
