I started working on this gift guide for the best toys for kids ages 10 and under this morning, and it wasn’t long before my kids started trickling in and offering their input on this list too.
Whether you have a limited budget, a small house, or simply a goal of only buying quality toys, (each certainly describes us), you want to make the best purchases you can when it comes to toys.
No one likes spending a lot of money on gifts, only to find those toys piled up in corners or under the bed in a month because your kids have lost interest.
We want to help prevent that frustration! So we worked together to assemble a list of toys that are OPEN-ENDED, QUALITY, GROUP-PLAY-FRIENDLY, and TIMELESS.
What I love about these toys is that all of my kids can play with them together or by themselves. They are safe for babies and fun for big kids. And, best of all, there’s no one way to play with them, which means that they will still be fun in six-months or two years.

We have magnetic tiles and also think they are awesome. I compare branda forever because the name brand Magna tiles are expensive! We now have both Magna and Picassio tiles. While there are a few things that make Magna tiles a bit better, you can not tell the difference between the 2 sets. The magnetics are just as strong in both sets and they match perfectly in size. My kids also love the wheeled pieces to make vehicles. A great addition if you already have some tiles.
