Our Christmas Menu 2017

Christmas is just two days away. Last minute wrapping, present buying, and menu planning are taking place. For me, there’s a lot of last minute decluttering, purging, and organizing in hopes of being prepared for the influx of toys that will take place.

My mother-in-law and I finished collaborating on our menu today. Many things are the same each year, but every year there are also a few new additions.

If you enjoy snooping on other people’s menus like I do, or maybe you are still in need of some edible inspiration, this is our Christmas menu this year. Breakfast, dinner, and everything in between.

Our Christmas Menu 2017

Breakfast

Christmas breakfast always follows the raiding of stockings and precedes the unwrapping of gifts. Cinnamon rolls are tradition for us on Christmas morning, and anytime we have something sweet for breakfast, eggs are a must to balance the sugar. The sausage links will make this holiday breakfast feel even more special because they are not an item we typically buy.

And, of course, there will be coffee. Black and strong Americanos made with our stovetop espresso maker. Stockings wake up the kids, coffee wakes up the parents.

Snacks & Lunch

We have a pro-grazing policy on holidays. The buffet that separates the kitchen from the dining room is spread with bowls and platters and an appliance or two full of food, and snacking and munching is encouraged since there will be no sit-down meal between our big breakfast and our holiday dinner.

This is what we will be munching on this Christmas day…
