Instant Pot ‘Lil Smokies in Homemade Sweet Barbecue Sauce

My family loves this easy appetizer and it never fails to be a hit at parties too. I am a fan too, but what I really love is how easy it is to throw together, AND the fact that I can make a simple, delicious barbecue sauce from scratch with ingredients I always have on hand in the kitchen.
You could even throw together the smokies and sauce in a freezer bag and tuck it away so you always have a quick appetizer to share with friends!

Instant Pot ‘Lil Smokies in Sweet Barbecue Sauce
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Cook Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 15 minutes
Description
Instant Pot ‘Lil Smokies are not only an instant crowd pleaser, they are also ridiculously easy to make, even with a from-scratch sweet barbecue sauce!
Ingredients
Sweet Barbecue Sauce:
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 24oz package of little smokies or small sausages
Instructions
- Add the little smokies to the Instant Pot. Stir together the barbecue sauce ingredients in a glass measuring cup, then pour over the smokies.
- Turn the Instant Pot onto Saute, and simmer the smokies and barbecue sauce for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and the smokies are glazed with sauce.
- Switch the Instant Pot to Keep Warm and serve hot.
